Your Best Barbecue adding new items to menu

COSHOCTON – One of Coshocton’s newest places to eat is adding new items to their menu and is excited to hear what their customers think. Your Best Barbecue opened in mid-August and is listening to what the public wants.
Kathryn Pollard is the owner and manager of the barbeque place. “I wanted to bring my style of home cooking to Coshocton. Our sides are all homemade.” Pollard wants to hear what her customers think of the food. “I’m open to trying new things and changing what I do. It’s all about making my customers happy.”
Pollard lives in Delaware County and comes to Coshocton several times a week. “My mom and brothers live here.” Her brothers are part of the reason she decided to open her barbeque place. “They all have restaurant experience and have been so much help to me.”
Your Best Barbecue serves more than just barbeque meats. “One of our best sellers is a stuffed bake potato. We put meat, cheese and sour cream on them – whatever the customer wants,” said Pollard. The menu includes the usual barbeque meats, such as ribs, rib tips and pork. They also offer pork chops, meatloaf and wings. Starting the weekend of Oct. 21, chicken was added to the menu.
“We tried turkey, but people didn’t seem to want it. I thought we’d give chicken a try and see what the customers think about that,” said Pollard. Side dishes include coleslaw, macaroni and cheese, waffle fries, greens, southern green beans and others. Customers can also choose whether to have BBQ sauce or gravy with their meals.
The restaurant is located at 702 S. Seventh St. Hours are Monday – Friday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you call ahead, your order will be ready when you get there. Their number is 740-295-9390.
