Zelma (Fry) Thompson
COSHOCTON – Zelma J. (Fry) Thompson, 80, of S. 2nd St., died Saturday September 22, 2012 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Walhonding on February 24, 1932 to the late Lester and Opal (Fox) Fry. She graduated from Union Local School in 1950. In May of 1969, she married Paul J. Thompson. She retired from Ohio Bell in 1982 after 30 years of service, and attended the Second St. Church of God in Coshocton.
Zelma is survived by her husband, Paul, 3 sons by a previous marriage, Donald (Vickie) Andrews of Conesville, Roger (Cheryl) Andrews of Smithville, and David Andrews of Coshocton, 2 step-daughters, Charlene (Larry) Henry of Howard, and Marlene (Lyndon) Slaughter of Nellie, 2 step-sons, Kevin Thompson, and Kriss (Treva) Thompson of Coshocton, 14 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Robert L. Fry of Coshocton, and Richard (Nora) Fry of West Lafayette, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Virginia Mencer, a brother, Milton Fry, step-sons, Kirk and Keith Thompson, and a step-great grandchild.
