Zera Mary (Burris) Bible, 82, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022 at her residence.

She was born Nov. 14, 1939 in Riverton, WV to the late Charles Henry and Grethel Floda (Harper) Burris. She married Richard David Bible on Oct. 25, 1958, who preceded her in death Jan. 4, 2002. She worked as a cosmetologist for many years.

Zera was a devout Christian and the true matriarch of her family. She was a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, and also the Red Hat Society. She was a nature lover, enjoying gardening, bird watching, and anything outdoors. Zera also loved family gatherings and being around people. Her grandchildren could not have asked for a better grandma.

She is survived by three children, Rita (Wade) Corder of Davenport, FL, Renee (Wayne) Neuciler of Polk City, FL, and Ryan (Paige) Bible of Rockville, MD; seven grandsons; one granddaughter; two great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons; two sisters, Izora Parsons of West Lafayette, and Elsie (Ron) McCracken of St. Cloud, FL; two brothers, Earl “Bud” (Kathy) Burris of Blissfield, and Charles (Linda) Burris of Massillon; many nieces and nephews who were all extremely close to Zera; a sister-in-law, Norma Burris of Gnadenhutten; and a brother-in-law, Steve (Marla) Livingston of Coshocton.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Richard Scott Bible; a sister, Lenora (James) Green; two brothers, Clarence (Louise) Burris, and Clifford Burris; a brother-in-law, Darwin Bible; and a sister-in-law, Inize Brown.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 at the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene (1058 Orange St. Coshocton, OH 43812), with Pastors Andy Bird & Steve Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Canal Lewisville Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the church. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
